Pictures from W8MNQ - Thanks Bob!!

This is the original W8YFI-Dick Decker of Deckerville, Michigan.
Photo was taken in his "shack" in 1950.
Jim-w8yfi the 2nd is his son, who now lives in Clarkston, Michigan..

Here is another photo of an old MTN member from the 1950's.
It is the original W8MNQ-Cliff Richmond, my father.

Here is another photo of dad-W8MNQ, taken in 1960 along
with his original "QSL" card from the early 1930's....

2004-Jim-w8yfi the 2nd 06-2004
The subject line says it all except the little rig beside Jim is an old
1950 ELMAC mobile station that I use on 75 meters occasionally.

MTN picnic of 2001
Mike Beachy-N8ECR of Pigeon, Michigan who cooks the "hotdogs" for our annual picnic gatherings...

Another MTN member from 1950
Ken Peck-W8DPU of Port Huron, Michigan
Ken purchased my father's 1946 Hallicrafter "HT-9" transmitter after my father acquired
a Hallicrafter "BC-610-E" like the one Dick Decker-W8YFI of Deckerville had.

This is a recent (2006) photo of me next to a restored Hallicrafter "BC-610-E" that
originally was owned by Dick Decker-W8YFI in the 1950's.... (of Deckerville, Mich)

Just a little 1947 story that was written about my father,  his family, work and radio hobby.
I thought that you might enjoy this little bit of history of him....

Here is what "MTN" member Russ-K8JLB looks like as of this last summer (2006)
